i did the Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor RC Release to scan my pc to see if my pc is able to upgrade to windows vista without any hassle. and it turned out it can it said the best editiong of vista is Windows Vista Business. this is what it says exactly: "Windows Vista Business, a good choice for your PC, is designed specifically for small and mid-sized organizations with advanced backup, new security tools, comprehensive networking and dedicated resources to help keep you up and running. You can upgrade from your current version of Windows and keep your files, settings and programs. Consider Windows Vista Ultimate to combine the best business and entertainment experiences available" it says business has Windows Aero with 3-D Flip, Windows Tablet and Touch Technology, Business Backup, SMall Business, Resources, Windows Meeting Space, and Windows Fax and scan. now i know it has everything the basichomeand premium home has. but should i go for business? even though i dont own a business.

Go for business and see how beautiful is the Aero interface... but I advise you against upgrading from XP: you'll not be able to use your programs. Instead of this create another NTFS partition and do a clean install of Vista using the new partition. Once you'll restart your computer, you'll get a choice to boot into XP (Earlier version of Windows) or Vista (Microsoft Windows) as you can see in an image in this page:

yes. even though you don't have a business, vista business was designed for businesses but you can still use it. business versions usually try to have high security.
