Hair loss is caused by a combination of factors:
Genetics (causes 99% of hair loss)
Illness
Poor Diet
Stress
Medications
If you're genetically predisposed (I am) to hair loss there really isn't much you can do except eat well, get enough sleep and avoid medication that might make it worse. Poor scalp circulation and the incorrect shampoo have little or nothing to do with it.
Even if you're not predisposed, the advice is the same. Good eating habits will go a long way to help thicken your hair. A scalp massage won't do much directly but it might lower your stress levels. If you are on any medication, find out whether it might be contributing to the problem and ask about alternative prescriptions.

Why dont you use "henna powder". Its a herbal powder. You can get it in any Indian store. Mix this powder with an egg or 2, juice of a whole lemon and black tea liquid. soak it ovrnight. apply from scalp to the tip of ur hair. remain for an hour or two and wash it off with a mild shampoo and dont forget to condition ur hair with a good conditioner. This will not only make ur hair healthy but also give it a bright burgundy colour. If ur hair is blonde think twice before u do it for it might get red.

Hi, as someone mentioned earlier...hair thinning is due to many factors. If you go out in a polluted area or too much sunlight...tie you hair with a bandana or scarf..If you are on hormones/medications...do ask your doc to reduce the dosage.. If there's stress..do some meditation/yoga...BUT as an adjunct to speeden up growth and thickness (this is tried & tested) Get the following oils: Castor oil, almond oil, olive oil, coconut oil....mix them in equal quantities and heat in a pan till it starts bubbling and let it cool. do this heating/cooling for 3 days. store this mixture in a bottle. Twice a week take the required amount of oil to cover your scalp and hair; warm it slightly and massage into your head...keep for more than 2 hrs....or overnight and wash with lukewarm water with a mild shampoo. If there's too much of tangling then use conditioner....dry hair well....li'l bit of blow drying is ok....but not too much heat. Once a week you can make a hair pack of egg whites with aloe serum/oil(mayonnaise consistency) and apply for 30 min before wash.
PLEASE Do check your calcium, folic acid & iron levels too as their deficiency contributes to hair loss. BEST OF LUCK.....

If you want hair to grow faster or more healthy, you have to take supplements that work on your body chemistry to support hair's growth and strength at its genesis.....once it has grown out, it is just dead keratin
Try GNC, they make a supplement called " Ultra Nourishair" in formulas for men and women..they are HUGE pills and you have to take 2 daily. There is also a "Hair skin and nails" formula from Andrew Lessman that you can google, that has great ingredients and is easier to swallow, made by ProCaps labs. You can also take large doses of Biotin, sometimes called Vitamin H, take no less than 2500 micrograms daily to support healthy hair growth. It may take 6 to 8 weeks to see results.
have taken the GNC pills for 4 months and supplemented them with extra Biotin because they only have 1200 mcg of Biotin and you should try for a minimum of 2500 micrograms.
I am switching to Procaps labs capsules when I run out of the GNC because Procaps formula has more Biotin in a more pure form with more of the trace elements that support healthy hair growth.
I take about 5000 micrograms which equals 5 milligrams of Biotin daily and my hair is growing fast and thick and dark.

I'am a hairdresser and get asked this question all the time,
You can get thinker hair by cutting your hair short it gets rid of all the dead ends and freshens up your hair and short hair is back anyway.
Also a good scalp tonic will help regenerate the scalp and premote regrowth.

when you wash hair,
rinse the shampoo out with lot of water.
never put conditioner on your scalp.just on hair.
never use 2 in 1.cause both jobs of washing hair and conditioning are not properly done......beside conditioner makes hair soft.....in other words WEAK....so comination of shampoo &cond, nither cleans the scalp good nor condition it on right place.
go to health store and buy special vitamins for hair.
good luck
note.there are temporary hair thickners available to use on special occasions.

Go to a salon and get your scalp massaged. They use some products that stimulate the follicles to help your hair grow back.

what i do for a quick solutin to make my hair look thicker is i wash it and then blowdry it upside down. it adds more volume to the hair as it makes the roots stand up. make sure to give it a quick blast with cold air to keep the style when your finished
