My son has strep (3 years old) and has had all of his 3 doses today, he does not seem to be feeling any better.

With strep the amox is going to take longer than that. You should see a pretty big difference in the next 2 days. Strep sucks! Don't forget the water, very important for the amox to work properly. Best of luck & hope he feels better soon.

I'm sorry your baby boy is feeling bad sadly the Amoxicillin takes about 2-3 days to fully kick in I had that med a lot when I was little nothing you can do but wait it out I'm sorry I hope he feels better might try some popsciles to make him feel better and bring down his fever if he has one take care and keep you guys in my thoughts hope this helps!

Usually takes a couple of days to notice a difference
Maximal effect usually at day 3 of treatment
If there is no effect - possibly resistant bacteria, possible viral illness (which antibiotics do not affect)

it should start to quick in after the third dose...u will know cos when he pees u can smell the medicine in the pee
but maybe he has a virus too with the strep and the virus doesn't get cured by amoxicillin but it goes away in 2 or 3 days

Often it takes about a day or a day and a half to start feeling the effects of an antibiotic. He did his three doses today, I would say that he should start to begin to feel the effects of the antibiotics tomorrow (maybe mid day). If it goes to three days with no improvement, you might want to call your doctor and they might want to switch antibiotics. My best advice to you is be a little patient, they body needs to build up enough blood levels of the antibiotic for it to begin to start working effectively.

i might say via the 0.33 day, yet while via the top of the 1st week you dont sense any extra suitable or sense worse flow returned to the physician. Thats what I easily have been instructed while my baby has been unwell for infections interior the ear/nostril and throat aspects.

for him to no longer be contagious, 24 hours. for him to feel better anywhere between 3 and 10 days. i hope he feels better soon!

the "tri-pak" is not made from amoxicillan. they say=it takes 10 days for the full effect of the antibiotic.
