Koh sounds like "co" as in "Coke". Samui sounds like "sah" (like "so" in "solid"). "mui" sound like "moo" (like a cow) and ("ee" long e sound).

The accent is on "moo".

Hey - I am impressed with the answers above - here would be my version - Koh is pronounced Kgo - sort of a hard g sound and short [Ko or Go will work ok..]

Sa [rhymes with Pa ] Mooo eee

koh is pronouced Got (wthout the t) with a gloccal stop so its like you are saying go but you stop short.

Samui is pronounced as it is written but with stress on the a sound (the Thais call is sara aa)

It's actually more like a very short "koah" sound like, CO in CORE, but without the R sounds. and Samui is "sar-muee"
