I really like this guy and he know sthat I like him and he shows signs that he likes me but he's playing really hard to get. I have to make most of the moves (like telling him I like him). I know he is really shy has this got something to do with it? What can I do to get him to make the moves?

I too am shy but if I really am into a girl= i make my move.
I am very sure that he is just really really shy- which is a good quality to have= he is not a player, he respects women, he will open up to you and make the move once he figures out how to do it. Have your closest friend who is a girl, go up and tell him that you are into him and that you do not believe that girls should make the first move. tell your friend to tell him- "she is really into you, she will say yes if you ask her out for coffee etc. If after a few weeks he still has not asked you out= then you make the first move.

He is either:
- shy (& is still real close to his mum)
- complicated
- has a huge ego and wants you to chase him for his entertainment
- doesn't want you to see how much he really wants you (cos of his ego or b/c he really needs you for something and being a male, none of them can admit they really can't do without something you have)
I guess just keep talkin to him on a regular basis (not expecting anything cos this wil freak the poor mummy's boy and he wil reun away). Eventually he will fell confortable enought to open up to you

I am in the same situation. You need to give him oppotunity to make the moves. dont say lets go out for a drink, rather say, im finishing work/school early today... or phew its hot today, a cold drink would go down so well. So you dont actually "ask" him to go for a drink..you leave the door open for him to ask you. Guys are blind sometimes and you need to teach them what to do. maybe you should be really forward and say "why dont you make any moves on me".

Just go up and talk to him and introduce yourself to him and ask him a question related to you saw him doing like reading a book or what course is he talking that you noticed is an interesting subject, etc......Good luck.
