There is no one definition for love because there are many kinds of love, such as the love a Mother has for her child (vice versa), the love we have for our friends, the love you have for your God, your parents and other family members, etc. but I'll give you my feelings on it assuming your talking about when 2 adults are "In love". It's when you feel that you exist only because this person is in your life, you breathe every breath because of them, your heart beats because of them and if they were no longer there you would no longer exist. You honestly feel that you couldn't live without them. They are forever on your mind and in your heart. As far as why we do, well, that's just the way most of us are. I say most because there are narcissistic people that don't love anyone more than they love themselves.

the attraction of opposite sex just starts with external features.then develops,then it effects all the system of thinking in the body for both.here we call it love.
but why.we are created like that no escape

Love is something out of which we care for others more than ourselves.
we love b'coz, Love is always a profit giving investment. investing love will gain u more & more love..... ur loved ones will care for u better than u care for urself.
all living beings love to love & to be loved....... that's how this sphere of land & water becomes the 'biosphere'.

i don't know.good question!! i used to not believe in love,but when i met this guy,my world changed.he make me wanna be a better person.love is the good or bad one.u can choose which one u want.it's all up to u.
