Take your weight and multiply it by 15. That's the amount of average calories per day that you can consume (amount you eat - the amount you burn). If you're consistently under that amount, you will begin to lose some weight.

That means you have to exercise. Make sure you alternate between aerobic exercise (like jogging/running) and muscle building exercise (weights). The aerobic will burn calories. The muscle building will increase your muscle % and decrease your fat %, also increasing your metabolism. In this way you can be sure you're losing weight from fat and not from muscle.

Stay healthy. One pound a week is very doable. Plus, at first you will lose weight easily. That is extra water weight. Keep up the good work when your weight plateaus! Don't give up!

I have lost 30 pounds since May. For the first two months, I dieted, using the Idiot Proof diet. (You can find this diet on the Internet for $27 for a lifetime membership!) Then I signed up at Curves and since then have dropped 7 pounds and 5-1/2 inches in two months. The lady at Curves says the slowdown in weight reduction is because I am gaining muscle, which weighs more than fat. I'm sure I'll be rid of at least another 20 pounds before May comes around again. I'm down from a size 24/26 to a size 18/20 in jeans! You can do it too!!

I lost about 55 pounds in 11 months. All I did was cut back on calories. I cut down to about 1000-1200 calories a day. It was hard, but it is doable. I lost that weight without exercising. It takes a lot of self-discipline. My mom helped me out just by being there and telling me that I would feel a lot better about myself which I do now. I still could afford to lose a little more weight but living on my own makes it harder because I don't have anyone looking over my shoulder anymore.

Good luck! You can do it!

The safest way to lose weight is reduce weight gradually, by combining a scientific diet with a suitable exercise like walking. The maximum weight that can be lost safely by a person is 1-2 kg a week. More information on a weight loss diet and exercises available at http://tinyurl.com/jax5h

I lost 20 Kilograms in 2 months with my secret formula (actually there is no secret at all)

Well just follow the guideline..... take more protein and carbs 6 meals a day 1/4 portion of what you normally eat... when u get hungry, only drink milk and dont consume any physical food when it is not meal time.

Go to a gym with steam bath/sauna do alot of cardio example threadmill and bicycle at least 1 hour each... means you have to spend at least 2 hours of gym, push yourself to the limits!

After the gym, go to steam bath and sauna and remember within 1 hours after gym, you cant consume any food at all, except proteins and milk.

Try not to consume meat as often as you do... cut down on meat, the only mean recomended is fish and chicken breast without the skin!

Suffer for 2 months and you will see the result! Every weekend, measure your results!!!!!

Happy Slimming!

I don't know about all the "diet fads" but I'll tell you something that has helped me loose about 30lbs so far this year.

I subscribe to Men's Health magazine (they have Women's Health too). There are great articles, excercise programs, great healthy recipes. They teach you about the Power Foods, foods that naturally speed up your metabolism when you eat so many helpings a day.

They also have great articles and workouts online too. You might wanna look them up there too.

Check out an issue at the newsstand!

Good luck. Stay motivated!

Isolate either carbs or protiens and only eat one or the other. Eliminate sugars, and begin an intense cardiovascular regimen. You only need 1 hour, 4 times per week of rigorous exercise. My mom lost 150 lbs on this plan. LOTS of tuna/salmon. Strong legs. Your legs have the most muscle and the more muscle in your body, the more water weight you can burn.

Peace.

My mom lost almost 60 lbs in approx 1.5 years by joining Weight Watchers and sticking to it. She said it worked for her because she could still eat whatever she wanted, but it forced her to keep it in moderation. It really helps if you have someone to do it with you. And keep in mind that at some point, you'll hit a "plateau" and stop losing weight if you're just dieting...diet plus exercise is really the only healthy way to lose weight and to do it healthfully means it's going to be SLOW! You can do it!

I guess its easy...i mean there are people demanding to loose this much weight in 2 weeks.
Try to not eat fatty foods (fast food is definetly one)
Try to do more and more exercices
Try to only eat vegetables (for a while)
Try to get ur self bussy with some stuff...cuz stress reduces weight. (I dont mean stress ur self out...its just that try to get ur self thinking..more than how u mostly think)
