a girl im "getting to know" takes a long time to text back sometimes. other times we have flowing conversations. am i just beng paranoid when she leaves it a few days now and again ?

You're being paranoid; and the fact that you're feeling this way means you like her a lot, which is sweet, but it also means you're going to come off as needy when you do talk to her. If you want to have a future with this girl, you need to relax a bit, back off, maybe even start talking to other girls at the same time, just to keep your mind from seeing her as the only option available.

Call her if you want to have a proper conversation. Not all the time though! Ask her to go out for a drink or something with you then you can talk to her properly. Even if you're just getting to know her, its still okay to see her and call her, just don't be doing it the whole time. Play it cool, like she is! :-) Good luck

Take into account that it could be the reception... Sometimes it's great and sometimes it takes an hour to recieve a text message from someone in the same room as me.

Maybe she's taking time to think of a response. It could also be the message is taking time for her to receive it. I sent a text via orange one time, and it took 12 hours to be received by the other party.

I don't think she's playing you, i think she's bad mannered and ignorant.
I hope your not sending her text after text because that might come across as putting on too much pressure.
Give her a ring and see how willing she is to chat, you'll soon get the vibe if it's game on or crashed and burned.

You can never honestly know unless you ask her. I always take my sweet time on texting people back because I'm constantly busy... but i see what you are thinking, because there are many people out there who don't text back right away if they're not interested.
I say don't worry about it... it's only text messaging.

I don't think you are. If she was as keen as you obviously are she would be eager to return your texts immediately so maybe she is going a bit cool. However, first check she doesn't have other restrictions on when she can reply, such as parents, work, lessons other boyfriends, husband etc

A. She either has other boys interested, or
B She wants you to miss her, so yeah stop sending her msgs and she will miss you and there is a possiblity things will turn around, if she texts you soon, it means she was playing a game. and you've won if you know how to handle her from there on.
