I think it's meaningless more than insulting. You might as well tell the Christians that they broke a rule from one of those obscure African religions.

Edit: Thanks, Handy.

I realize what ur saying. It isn't if u believe in the bible or any other religious books. Sin is another way of saying u made a mistake or breaking a law or rule. I can u sin against me when u say a word I hate. U have made an error and offended me when u said the word I hate.

Do you know what else is insulting? When a person quotes scripture from a book they don't believe in just to try and validate a point they are trying to make.

Do you realize that if you don't believe in the book, it's silly to engage in conversation about it and get upset that someone says you're a sinner?

You must also look at it from the Christian's point-of-view. Let's say you saw someone about to walk into a room which was on fire. Would you warn them? What if they said they didn't believe the room was on fire, and told you that you were insulting them?

And besides - we're all sinners.

yes!

it can be offensive to be called a sinner and unrighteously judged.
Jesus would've called many people sinners on the one hand but he also preached repentance and Mercy and forgiveness

If you don't believe in the book, why do you care about being called a sinner?
