Expect a 14~25 kmpl variation depending on where you drive. The high point of the Verna is the power delivery because of the variable geometry turbo. It delivers a 100hp in diesel, which is better than the same in petrol because of the added torque.
But at the same price you can get a Mahindra scorpio, which 20% more power and twice as much torque. Old push rod tech with CRDi, but you get a lot of metal and space for the price.

I am using an Accent Viva CRDI, Hyundai says millage of both the cars are same. Very recently I have tried the Verna but for a very little kilometers.
I will not be hard to achieve a figure of 15 Kmpl no matter how you drive :) -- (Full tank to Full tank).
PS: Do not go by adds telling you about 27 Kmpl.

hyundai verna gives the same mileage that was offered by accent
verna is just the modified car of accent in the body shape but not in the mileage
if u want to buy a car in this range then the first offer is from the ford FIESTA
it gives a mile age of 27km/litre
