speaking as one who has had and still does have cats - it is all done to drive us nuts, that is what they live for. right now one is on my lap as i try to type this, for no other purpose than the joy she gets from making me retype what she messes up by moving my hands. of course i have the same opinion regarding my dogs, my birds, my rats. but i love'em anyway.

Hm, well that's a strange question, but I don't think they are looking at invisible fairies, colorful dancing mice, or that ghost sitting in the chair across the room. They do have excellent vision, however, so my guess is a small particle of floating debris, or perhaps some small insect or other organism.

no, i just think all cats are nuts. Mine ignores every toy I've ever bought her but will play for hours with the little plastic safety ring off of a milk jug. Go figure.
