What I would do is invite the young man over to met your parents and introduce himself, after all, if they're really strict, what have you got to lose. They me be quite charmed by him and surprise you by being a bit more lenient.
If they aren't, maybe they see something in him that you don't - the judgement of parents is not always wrong
I don't think it's a turn off for a guy - I had strict parents too - some of them saw it as a challenge - lol!

First, grab on to some courage . . . Walk up to him and tell him to "want to come over tonight? I want you to meet my parents" no, not old fashioned, it works even in this generation! Yes you will be nervous, we all were. When he and parents meet you will be surprised, parents are impressed, your crush will feel welcomed! Good luck! OH, don't worry what you had said, just move forward ;-)

Well, you should not lie to him. If in fact your parents are too strict and won't allow you out with him, then just explain that to him. He should not be blaming you, because it is not your fault.

YES it is a turn off. We take it as a different way of saying no. A nicer way. But yes we feel rejected. Tell him you like him too, then you can work things out from there.

I am sure he understands. He has parents too. Just make sure he understands that it is your parents and not him. Talk to your parents and see if he can't come over to your house.
