I will tell you the truth..... I am strong in my faith.... I believe as I believe, not because my parents taught me the way, or that it was passed on to me from any other... but because I have studied it myself and came to the conclusion that what my parents have passed on to me is the Truth.......
Yet, if I were born in another country whose faith differs from what I know today, then I would be strong in another faith.....
and that is because I would have studied what was given me from my parents and because it is the way that my people have always known the Lord God..... and that is how I would serve Him.

Ginger,

About half the people in our small group at church were not born into Christian families and became Christians as adults. Some of them were even ardent atheists and, like many people on this board, found enjoyment in belittling Christians. These people were born into no religion, but through events in their life turned to Christianity.
I don't live in the Bible Belt - I live in a part of the country where only a small minority of people attend any time of religious service on a regular basis. By turning to religion, they were definitely bucking the trend.
So - while it's probably more likely that you'd have the opportunity to hear about only your religion - especially if you live in a country where it's illegal to participate in any religion other than Islam - I think your 99.9% figure is a huge stretch.

I totally agree with you. You reap what you sow. We grow up the way we are brought up sometimes the faith/belief whatever you wanna call it is so strong that it's difficult for one to get out. I don't blame anyone for what they believe in especially when that person grew up with that belief. The parents have sowed a seed into that child's mind that that religion is correct, unfortunately.

That's an AWFULLY wide brush you're painting with, especially since similar questions have been asked before, and your assumption was only right about 20% of the time.
When you ASSUME, you make an *** of U and ME.

Oh, quit pestering them; remember, they're told from a very early age that they'll go to hell if they even think about having anything to do with other religions, so just don't rock their boats.
