if u suddenly felt in love and then found out that the person u love is not living legally in your country what would u do if u know he/she needs or wants to stay ??? I would marry her and give her documents
would u care about his/her legal status ??? No, those are just racists laws to explote people, they are the same or worse than the jim crow laws.
would u consider him/her a criminal ??? No, as I don't consider that Rosa Parks was a criminal for not giving up her seat to a white man.
would u treat him/her as a criminal ??? Not at all...
would u help him/her become legal ??? Yes
would u think that u are helping a criminal if u would help him/her ??? No, she would not be a criminal, but a civil rights person.

If I found out the person I was in love with was not living here legally, I would dump them because I need someone who is legal so I can marry them to become legal too.

Define love
You will notice true genuine love doesn't just happen over night it develops. In light of that the answer to your question is simple you do not love this person though there is a chance that this relationship can result in unconditional love.
If you have this unconditional love then you would know what to do and you wouldn't need anyone's opinion nor would it matter because true love never fails.
There is contradiction in terms and logic in your question but interesting nonetheless

First, does your scenario specify how I learned of her illegal status? Did she tell me first immediately (like after the first date), or did I find out from a friend or someone else (way after we started seeing each other)?
If the former happened (I would be really lucky if that happens), then I'd love her even more for her honesty. I'd then propose to her, get us out of the country immediately, and have our wedding and honeymoon somewhere nice. Then we'd sort out the legal issues when we come back.
If the latter happened and she didnt tell me, I'd confront her about it (the "why did you lie to me?" argument). Whatever the result of this argument would likely decide what would happen next.

Honestly, the ONLY people who could answer you the question are the ones who've actually been in this type of situation. Look at most of the answers: "No, because illegals are illegals." "No, I would ask him to go back to his/her country," "Illegals are criminals," "Going home with him/her to avoid being a criminal." and blah blah blah. Common, would you really GO HOME with that person? He/her is here illegally for a reason.

Is going back home to the illegal aliens country an option? I would do that!
This Option was not given, so I would do that to avoid breaking the law. If you think about it, you could end up in jail and would have to find a new love anyway, right?

I i agree with angela R on this one.depends how much in love you are with that person.and btw to all those on here who said "no i would report them to ICE",that's bs.I was dating a guy who for some odd reason thought I was illegal,i didn't tell him i wasn't just to see what he would do.
Since i knew he was mostly anti illegal i expect him to tell me to go back to mexico, that i was a criminal, etc etc.But instead he told me that he would talk to his mom who use to work for ICE on how i could stay and if he needed to marry me so that I would be allowed to stay he would do it.when i pointed out that being illegal was going against what he believed he said "yeah all illegals should be sent back to their country of origin but not you because I love yyou and want you to stay".yeah double standard right there.i guess love does make ya do things that normally would go against all u believe in.

I would be disappointed knowing this person didn't confide in me in the first place.....Love is about trust and openess.....I would have to wait it out and see if I could really trust this person....If he would have told me from the beginning, then I probably would have done what the laws required me to get him legal....Whether it is helping him find a sponsor, or if I really loved him, getting married.....

YES I SURE WOULD.
MY FIRST QUESTION WOULD BE--AM I BAIT.
IF YOU DECIDE YOU AREN'T BEING USED-THEN YOU NEED TO DECIDE WHY AND WHAT CAN BE DONE TO HELP THIS SITUATION WHICH IS NOTHING IF ILLEGAL AND CRIMINAL. ARE YOU WILLING TO LEAVE??
SURE IT IS CRIMINAL--ITS AGAINST THE LAW.
THAT IS WHY :ILLEGAL:
AIDING AND ABETTING IS A CRIME...
SPEAK WITH AN ATTORNEY OF THE RECORD...
