Two different questions. I've recognized God's role in my life since early childhood. But I rededicated my life to Him when I was 22, at a Catholic Charismatic prayer meeting, that I had been asked to provide music for. Kind of an ambush, really, but I didn't mind at all.

I was 12 when I accepted Christ into my life. I just knew this was the only thing that made sense. I knew God had to love me if he would go through the pain of being crucified. I knew I was a sinner and that my debt had to be paid somehow.

I was reborn on December 28, 1954, the day that I emerged from the body of my birth mother ( I am adopted) and began this new lifetime.

You don't have to get saved. You belong to God when you are conceived. You don't have to be reborn. You just have to live his teachings and abide by His rules. When you sin, he will forgive you if you sincerely repent. You or no one else can 'save' anyone's soul from hell--only Him. God chooses you--you don't choose Him, but you choose to believe in Him.

How old was I? 8
What made me know that Jesus and god loved me? The lady teaching Vacation Bible School said so.
What caused me to "get saved"? Same scary lady describing hell
Tell a kid they're going to get cooked forever, it's a great incentive!

I was 15... I just came to the point where I realized that I couldn't do this by myself and I needed help. I couldn't think of anyone and then I remembered...God. I am nothing without Christ.

I'm a "born-again" Pagan and received my "calling" at the ripe old age of 25.
The experience was so profound for me (I was NOT looking for a religeous path at all, let alone a Pagan path) that it has completely changed the course of my life. I'm glad for it, too. :D

I was 22 just back from USAF in Germany and never heard John 3:16 before. Two college guys befriended me and I learned some theology from them and knelt down by my bed and asked to be forgiven of all my sin, and that was when the Holy spirit came in to change my life.
You can cry out to God and ask Him to save you like I did. Confess your sins and repent, promise to never commit them again. If you Pray believeing that He has the power to save you and that Christ died for your sin He will save you and break the bondage that the devil has you in.
Romans 10:9 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:10 - For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 14:11 - For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Romans 15:9 - And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.
Philippians 2:11 - And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
1 Timothy 6:13 - I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
Hebrews 11:13 - These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
James 5:16 - Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 4:2 - Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
1 John 4:15 - Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
Revelation 3:5 - He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
