I'm underweight (5'2 and 95 lbs). I eat pizza and french fires at least once a day, and eat plenty of snacks, but I can't seem to gain any weight. I walk quite a bit to get to and from class, but that's unavoidable. I did manage to gain 5 lbs over spring break (getting me from 92 to 97) by sitting at my computer all day every day for a week, but I lost some of it as soon as I got back to school. Any way I can gain weight WITHOUT stuffing myself with unhealthy foods and sitting around all the time? I want to gain weight to be healthy, not to get a heart attack.

There is a history of thyroid problems in my family, but my doctor says that mine is fine. He also checked for parasites (ew), and that's not the problem either.

There is only one answer in front of you. That is resistance training. When you go for weight tarining, u will automatically have the urge to eat more. So, at this point eat protein rich food.

No doubt, you can gain the weight. And you will have proper muslce definition too.

Have a healthy day

I had that problem, then I got old : )

You may want to have your doctor check your thyroid, it may be working overtime, cant remember if its hypo or hyper-thyroidism?

When I tried gaining weight I ate a lot of protien, egs, meat etc.6 times a day, and did some weight lifting to put on muscle. That was good weight.

Nuts work wonders! They are stuffed with protien--but avoid the salted ones! They are fattening -- that's why they tell dieters that want to lose weight not to eat peanut butter!
