It is even said in their Scripture that Ishmael(P) was born when Abraham(P) was 86 years old and Isaac(P) was born when Abraham(P) was 99. In their Scripture as well, God is said to have ordered Abraham(P) to sacrifice his only son and in another version his firstborn. And, at this spot, they inserted falsely the name of Isaac(P) against the text of their very Scripture. The reason they inserted Isaac(P) is that he is their father whereas Ishmael(P) is the father of the Arabs

Isaac was Abraham's only son with Sarah. They never had any other children. Ishmael had already been sent away with his mother by the time Abraham was to offer up his son. According to the Jewish historian, Josephus, Isaac was 25 years of age at that time, so he could have easily overpowered his 125 year old father, but he understood what was going on and he allowed his father to bind him and prepare to offer him as a sacrifice. Both showed a great deal of faith in God's promise of the resurrection and both were aware that God had promised that the messiah would come through Isaac's line, so I'm sure they both reasoned that God could and would raise him from the dead. Additionally, this was a demonstration of God's future sacrifice when his own son would be offered up as a ransom sacrifice for humankind. Certainly it was a test of faith that both Abraham and Isaac passed.

And this son is Ishmael(P) for he is the first son whose good news was brought to Abraham(P). He is older than Isaac according to Muslims and ahl al-kitâb (i.e., the People of the Book) too. The reason they inserted Isaac(P) is that he is their father whereas Ishmael(P) is the father of the Arabs. They added Isaac(P) out of envy and brushed away "only son" by saying that Ishmael(P) and his mother had already been to Makkah. This is a mere [farfetched] explanation since we never say "only son" except to a person who hasn't got but one son. Moreover, the firstborn has got a special place [in the heart of his father] that is not given to the following children and the order to sacrifice him is therefore a greater test. Some knowledgeable people were inclined to say that the sacrificed was Isaac(P). This was reported from some people of the salaf (i.e. people of the previous generations) and it was even reported from some Companions(R) but [this opinion] does not have any bearings from the Book [i.e., the Qur'ân] nor from the Sunnah. I think such opinion was received from the Rabbis of ahl al-Kitâb as is without evidence. Moreover, God's Book is a witness and points to the fact that it is Ishmael(P) because the glad tiding said that the son was patient and that he is the sacrificed. Only afterwards, He said: "And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous." and when the Angels brought the good news of Isaac(P) to Abraham(P) they said: " "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge." And the Most High said: " We gave her [Sarah] glad tidings of Isaac, and after him, of Jacob." [11:71] meaning that in the lifetime of Abraham(P) and Sarah(P), Isaac(P) will beget a child that he will call Jacob(P) implying that Isaac(P) will have a progeny. We have already explained why it is not possible that Isaac(P) be sacrificed while still a child i.e., because God promised them [Abraham and Sarah] that he will have a progeny. On the other hand, Ishmael(P) was described as forbearing and he fits that description

It was a test from God to see who was more important to him. Isaac or God. Eventually Abraham takes his son to the alter God stops him and gives him a lamb to sacrifice instead. He did have a child with a handmaden(with his wifes approval and request) but they(the haindmaiden and the child(Ishmael)) were "banished". Eventually Ishmaels line created the arab nations because of Gods promise to Abraham. As for Isaac he was Abrahams only recognized son because he was through Abrahams wife. By the way the Christians call him Isaac and you kinda answered youre own question.

It was very clearly Isaac the was up for sacrifice. Ishmael was banished and Abraham never saw him again before all this occurred.

Isaac was the only son of his WIFE Sarah. Ishmael was a son from Sarah's servant, Hagar. Ishmael was born because Sarah couldn't believe God would give her a child at 80+ years old. She thought they should take matters into their own hands and ensure Abraham had a son of some sort. Lack of faith....

The Bible also clearly states that Ishmael and his mother Hagar were sent away shortly after Ishmael was born, leaving only Isaac as the son if the promise.

Later events back this up as well, the Bible mentions Ishmael no longer, after he was sent away.

These matters were thoroughly understood and settled 2000 years before the Koran was ever written.

Your attempts at revision are transparent, and also appear to be blatantly self serving.

It's Isaac, when it talks about Abraham's only son, it is referring to the fact that God would bring the promised seed through Isaac only. Jesus is the promised seed brought through the Jewish lineage, Ishmael was of Arab descent through Hagar and God also promised to constitute Ishmael a great nation which he did, but it was Isaac that Abraham was to sacrifice to God. Sarah was also from Abraham's family making her us Jewish descent as well. Hagar and Ishmael were sent away by Abraham at God's command because Ishmael was becoming a threat to Isaac.

Ishmael was indeed the first born child but not from Sarai!
Isaac was the child that God had promised to Abraham through his wife Sarai but because he thought God was moving to slow Sarai and Abraham decided to use Hagar to achieve what God had promised them.
Ishmael became the father of the Arabs but Isaac was the child of promise therefore he was Abrahams Only Son!!

That is one proof that Taurat and Bible contains many false verses.According to holy Qur'an the correct story Abraham through his dream was ordered to sacrifice the only son Ishmail not Isaac by killing him because Allah wanted to test Abraham's loyalty to Allah the only one God..But at that time Allah replaced Ishmail by a big goat.So every year capable muslim should give a sacrifice byslaughter- ing cow or camel for 7 persons or goat for 1 person for helping the poors.by disributing its meat to them freely
.Ishmail was the first son of very old Abraham and his wife.
Siti Hajar.Abraham brought his wife and son to Mecca valley and Ishmail was the inventor of Zam Zam water.Abraham helped by Ishmail built Kabah as the house of Allah. Now Kabah is in the centre of Mesjidil Haram or Haram mosque the biggest one on earth..All capable muslims.pay haj pilgrimage once a year and they walk around Kaba 7 times and drink Zam Zam water
