Boy did you get a lot of nice replies! The only thing that I can add is this: Drinking coffee on an empty stomach is brutal. If you're going to drink coffee you should really try to eat some breakfast. Sometimes we aren't hungry because we snack at nite. If we don't snack, most of the time we are hungry in the mornings. This is why it is called break fast. Break the fast. The others covered everything else!

Eat often, but small amounts and keep from consuming junk. It is a healthy way to eat and if your friends see you eating often and sensibly, they will be able to understand that you are actually looking after your health. Counting calories is fine, but not to the point of being obsessive. If you are concerned about putting on weight, just make sure that you exercise properly and if you do consume extra calories, put a little more effort into your exercise to burn them off.

Why are you scared of what they think? You are still young so your peer's opinions do matter. However, if you feel like you are healthy and doing the right thing that's all that matters. Counting calories is actually a very smart thing to do... unless you do it obsessively. It's okay to care about what you put in your body, so let them know that.

I really wouldn't put too much stock in what your friends have to say. Better to ask a trusted adult for an honest opinion. Counting calories is a good thing because then you know what you're putting in your body. Your just trying to be informed.

Why are you counting calories?

As long as you're eating well, don't worry about what other people say. My best friend always had people tell her she was anorexic, but she ate a LOT! She's just skinny with a high metabolism, so she can't put on weight (got that from her dad).
