Now, I'm agnostic, and I think this question is unfair.
Many people find an affinity with Jesus Christ of Christianity. Not all Christians were "people born into rich families," as you say. Some didn't find religion or their spirituality for that matter until later on in life. Spirituality is an ever-continuing struggle, no matter what you believe. However, I know quite a few people "rich" with faith and spirituality. But they earned it. They fell out of religion, found why it was important, and proceeded to make a real connection with the religion.
You're just being unfair. There are many good philosophies to be taken from Christianity, such as "love thy neighbor," which I hold in highest regard. Just be a little more respectful.

it takes everything to believe. I am an inpatient sort of a person. God does not work in my time table and that my friend is frustrating. Yet I believe.
I do not walk around like I own the world. actually my rights are challenged and taken away all the time by worldy people like you.
If you struggle with the illogical ways as you say of the Christianity then that is your problem. I personnally cannot explain all things yet I know they exist. I cannot tell you how and why the internet works, yet it does. As for your burning for eternity. what are you worried about? It is a choice you are free to make and because I would like to not see you go there I am bad?
And you are right about the last part, I did nothing to earn my salvation. It is a gift and I am going to take it and talk about it because I would rather you hate me for my effort to not see you go to hell then to watch you go there and know that no one told you before hand.
God Bless

I am earning my belief right now by not standing in judgment of you and loving you regardless to what you say or do because that's the way God loves you, you do not have to be a Christian to have respect for people and I do truly respect your opinion and will not tell you that you are going to hell for it. All I ask is that you take the time read a book or the Bible and do some research on Jesus and what Christianity means before you ask a question or pass judgment on an entire group of people based on you interactions with a few..... Oh and it is because we know we did nothing to deserve the love of Jesus Christ that it took to die for us that we are willing to earn God's approval by following, praising, worshiping, and trying to come as close to his perfection as we can....

If it took no effort to believe then Jesus would not have told His disciples many times that they had little faith. It takes great courage and humilty to acknowledge that we are weak and unable to do the best for ourselves and that only God with His infinite wisdom can help us to have real meaning and purpose for our lives that last for eternity. To the human mind Christianity seems illogical but to those with spiritual insight they know what the world is missing. It is part of the gospel that those who do not accept Jesus as their Savior and Lord will go to hell and those who do so will go to heaven.

i think what you might be trying to convey is how annoyingly smug Christians can be. some Christians believe what they believe and consider themselves superior because they believe it. some will actually gloat with glee at imagining nonChristians roasting in hell, blamed, convicted and punished forever for being unable to believe in the proper myth because the Bible deity withheld the gift of faith. (a just god. yeah right).
apparently they forget that the Bible says ...
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
in other words they do nothing to be gifted with the faith they have but are arrogantly prideful as if it were a reward. they're just egotists. it's the smug self righteous Christians themselves that makes Christianity so very unpalatable for any person with intelligence and a conscience. who in their right mind would want to spend eternity in their company?! i can imagine few things more hellish.

It often seems that if you ask a question about the Christian belief, you should prepare to receive at least one answer that will include a warning of burning in hell for not having faith.
It's frustrating to try not to take offence to the exact people you are trying to understand with an open mind.

wow. is this beat up christians day? i'm not a christian, but i know people who are. some of them are kind of like what you said, but most aren't. it's not just christians, but all religions.
sometimes when a person is first saved (not my word for it) they are very zealous. they want to share this with everyone they meet. being a good christian, or just being a good person, takes a lot of work. christrianity isn't any more illogical than any other religion. the word means christ like, so a true believer is going to be a very good person.

You base this on????? Which Christian??? Which church??? Or are you basing this on something that you've heard or read recently about one or two Christians and think that it applies to the millions of Christian on this planet? Obviously I can't tell you not to judge, because apparently you do. Christians are human and sin. But by God's grace we can seek forgiveness and only pray that He will forgive us. I admit that there are some denominations of Christianity that believe that just because Christ died and rose that they are already forgiven for all their past and future sins. So it's by faith alone that will get them to Heaven. This is completely false!!!!! Faith and good deeds together throughout one's life and forgiveness of all sins will get you in Heaven.
I won't preach any more. I doubt you are willing to listen based on your above statements. But please don't label ALL Christians as being the same. There are 3000 denominations in Christianity today on this planet and majority are following the wrong Church leaders. God is the ultimate judge of us all.

...Very good point you make. Since Christ is the author and finisher of our faith, our eternal life rests all on His finished work on the cross, and His resurrection Since He has done it all, I do not have to put forth any effort - it would do no good anyway, since I can add nothing to His marvelous salvation. We must trust in Him alone.
... It reminds me of the old hymn:
JESUS PAID IT ALL
ALL TO HIM I OWE
SIN HAD LEFT A CRIMSON STAIN
HE WASHED IT WHITE AS SNOW.
...You may not like what is said in Christian circles, but I challenge you to determine in your heart of hearts, whether or not it is true. If it is true..."How shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation?" Hebrews 2:3
...I do wish you a blessed eternity, and urge you to trust in Jesus Christ if you never have - while there is still time.

It takes a lot of work to be a good Christian and no work at all to be a non-beleiver. You simply have to not beleive, in anything, which means you'll say anything and do anything to get your way with a girl. A religious person and especially a good Christian would NEVER do that to a girl!
