ok can i get some more info although i will try to answer this for you without it. Has she had a bowel movement recently before the citrate? if you say no then the hard swelling could be really bad. And she needs to be seen now. If her bowels explode it will kill a person in 48 hours....... This is nothing to play with..........If you dont believe me call your local pharmacist or hospital they will confirm.......Her large intestine could be knotted and this she needs to be seen for also. Dont wait til doctors hours take her to the er. If they are twisted or knotted and she pushes too hard it will explode.....

If you gave your aunt 300 ml of mg citrate, she is probably pooping her brains out by now. You need to ask her if she has relief. The liver is the organ immediately under the ribs on the right or gall bladder is there if she still has one.
I would suggest you take your elderly relative to the doctor to see if she has gall stones or if her constipation is resolved. They can check her constipation by an XR of the abdomen.
