when you get your hair bleached it lifts out your hairs pigments making it lighter of coarse this is not real Clorox bleach it is a bleach designed for your hair mixed with a peroxide developer. you can get your hair lifted to you desired level like yellow or pale yellow. if you get your hair lifted with high lift color you can lift and deposit and the same time (if your hair doesn't have color on it) this means that it will lift a few shades lighter than add a tone to it like caramel blonde or honey blonde. what ever you do make sure you and your hairdresser under!!!stand each other when you make your decision ask to see color swatches to help make sure your on the same page. go to redken.com to find a good colorist near you!!! good luck

when you bleach your hair it takes all of your original pigment out and completely strips it. alot of the chemicals in the bleaching will severly dry your hair out as well. And by the way, once you bleach it, you cant go back. The only thing you can do is dye it to the closest original hair color you can. I've done it before, but as a natural dark brunette, it didnt look good for me becuz my eyebrows are dark. Keep that in mind before you bleach

I went to a salon when I was about 21 and paid a fortune to have my brown hair heavily highlighted blond and when I say "heavily" I mean all over. I made an awful blond! Not to mention the stuff they used severely dried out my hair. I had to switch to an extra moisturizing shampoo and conditioner until it grew out which took months. If you really want to know how you'd look as a blond, buy an inexpensive wig and wear it a few days. You're hair will thank you for it.

unless you have naturally light blonde hair do not even consider bleaching your hair. if it is not already light blonde it will turn a nasty orange color that will not get lighter. if you are naturally light blonde you will have nearly white (what i like to call "kelly bundy") hair. you might also have to use a toner, depending on what shade of blonde hair you have.
