It is philosophical to think like this. BUt someone who is bent upon eliminating the mankind and acting like demon, needs to be removed from the earth for the sake of survival of the others. Saddam has done many crimes and had slaugtered lacs of inncoent men and women and he does not deserve a reprieve.

I do not think that by sentencing someone to gallows means "he is acting like a God". You know how the God works? Only through other human beings. All sould on this earth are the creation of God and act for and in God. So an act of sentencing a tyrant to gallows is good and is certainly an act of God and not of a human being.
I think you should read Gita to get an insight into.

If death is in the hands of God then why did Saddam also cause many to die. God likes order thats why we are all governed by laws wherever we live. The same laws are there to protect each of us from one another including those who murder like himself. If someone murdered your family members do you think you'd rest easy without them recieving capital punishment. Punishment is what teaches the rest of us not to do the same wrong.

Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord, but He also said an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. There are instance in the Bible where God told men to kill other men and even their wives and children so that there would be none to come back later to Kill The people God had chosen. God gives men the wisdom to judge and expects us to uses that wisdom at times to bring justice and even death to some who are so wicked they are a threat to society. If there were no judging the world would be ruled by the most evil ones.

Dispensing the death penalty is justice on earth for Saddam's crimes on earth, not justice in heaven. God gets the final say on where Saddam goes after he is put to death. Remember, both Christian martyrs and murderers may be put to death by man, but God has different plans for each.

Hot button question. Are birth and Death even really in the hands of god? Besides the fact the jury that gave that sentance isnt playing god. He is being hung because of war crimes.
