You're very young to be experiencing sleep problems. First I would say talk with your parents (show them the link which I have included). I think it's a great idea to have you help out around the house- but i also think you should probably let your parents know it's getting in the way of your sleep and other school work.
Like the site says- stay away from caffine before bedtime (sodas, teas.....), try to stay away from the sugar as well. I also understand you have a lot on your plate already, but try to get some exercise- even walking a few minutes each day. Try to also maybe start writing, journal about anything and everything sometimes helps me by getting some of the day to day things off my mind. Just to lock them away for the night to clear your mind. I wish you luck! Take care.
PS> whatever you do please don't take any medicines for this. try anything and everything first. You don't need to start building up resistance to medicines which could one day help you if need be.

you need to go to bed a lot earlier than 10:30. Unless you can change that bed time, you will continue to be tired. Something is going to have to give. Have you talked with your parents about reducing your chores during the week so that you can go to sleep earlier? Also, 3 instruments is a bit much. You may want to limit that to just one. You are simply trying to fit too much into a 24 hour period, and it just won't fix.
Wouldn't it be fun if you had a time machine and you could just stop time when you go to bed and then start it back up whenever you just woke up naturally. That would be cool, wouldn't it? LOL

U're getting approx 7 hrs of sleep daily. That's not that far off from the recommended 8.
If you're trying to avoid falling asleep in class, sleeping 10 hrs may not necessarily help. Maybe the class is just boring. Sometimes sleepiness is caused by fluctuating energy level throughout the day.
If you are allowed to, try munching something in class, gummy bears or candies.
If not, do some stretching before and throughout your class.

Aren't there any adults in the house that could pick up your other chores so that you have more time for sleep? You're a growing kid and sleep is important for you. Maybe you could schedule your other activities such as playing piano/clarinet on the weekends so that you have more time to sleep on the days that you have to go to school.

Make sure to get extra sleep during those weekends. But people say that sleeping extra during weekends won't make up for the reduced sleep during weekdays. What kind of housework do you have? If you have any siblings ask them to help out. Your parents should be the ones to do the cleaning (except for your room).

yeah, that sounds like the schedule i had to run when i was in high school. if you're doing that in 6th grade, though, that sounds like you're trying to do too much, you're trying to pack in too much in one day. just try to think about things that you can cut out in your day - do you have to clean every day? do you have to practice every instrument every day? or can you do these things for shorter periods of time?
