Aids is acquired immune defiency syndrome Aids was first discover in 1981 then before 1985 people can get aids by blood transfusion meaning that when you go to the hospital the doctor transfer blood to other people and in that way you could catch the aids virus but sense then the doctor screen the blood for any sign of diseases. there s a myth the monkeys carry aids and they can live longer. Aids spread by blood contact like having unprotected sex and sharing a needle with someone that not washed. Mosquito don t spread aids because after it sucks a human blood it waits till the blood empty and the aids virus die but there one disease you could catch it s called malaria when people get aids they don t show no symptoms for about 5 or 10 years they might get a cough, sneezing or running nose then go away in two weeks. the aids virus don t kill you it s the lack of protection in your body that kills you like the white blood cell it attack the t helper cell and you die. And you could also get the aids virus by kissing it don t happen too often if you see people with a busting lips or blood don t kiss them but most of the time it safe.

I know that the HIV (the virus that causes AIDS) did a species-jump from monkey to human, but the virus has probably changed so much in the years since then that it wouldn't be able to jump back or anything like that. Although you can get things like west nile virus from mosquitoes, HIV is actually pretty hard to contract. It's much easier to get Hepatitis C, for example, which is transmitted in the same way. People don't talk about this much though, because AIDS is more deadly than Hep. C, even though Hep C. can kill you too. I wouldn't worry, as long as you practice safe sex.

HIV virus is tricky, it fools your body into thinking it's supposed to be there, and then when it makes anti-bodies to kill the virus, the body can't tell the difference from the virus and itself. The actual virus is so small that scientists can't test for it, only for the anti-bodies. There's tons of info on the internet, even comic books.

No, the virus dies inside the Mosquito.If a mosquito takes a partial HIV infected blood meal from a person and then immediately feeds on an ininfected person, there would not be enough HIV particles present to transmit the disease. In fact, it is highly unlikely (1 in 10 million chance) there would even be a single unit of HIV present. Finally, for a mosquito to be able to carry AIDS, the disease would need to pass from the gut of the mosquito to the salivary glands where it would later be injected into the next host. This is quite a long and extensive process even with diseases that flourish in mosquitoes (like encephalitis).

Mosquitos cannot carry the HIv virus so it doesn´t spread by mosquito bites. cats have a form of HIV in fact it´s cats HIv but they don´t pass it on to humans or viceversa. AIDS is caused by HIV , you can get HIv by having direct contact with an infected persons blood, body fluids, breastmilk and children can get it from their infected moms before, during or after pregnancy this last one because of breastmilk. HIV´s primary target is the inmune system CD4 cell to be specific. WHY? Because HIV enters this cells, it reproduces in them while at the same time it kills them. That´s why our body cannot fight HIV because it hides in this cells and the body won´t kill it´s own defenses which are CD4 cells. A person has AIDS when there are few CD4 cells left and a lot of virus in the body.

no as far as i know mosquitoes can't carry HIV or AIDS....HIV is believed to be a mutation of SIV (simian immunodifiency virus)....HIV develops into AIDS sometimes but not always...HIV is a virus...so it can be cured..once you have it you have it for life...HIV/AIDS is a retrovirus meaning it is always mutating and becoming stronger...but the primary target in the body is the T cells...which are the helping cells of the body...It attacks the cells and injects it's DNA into the cell and tricks your body into thinking that it is not a threat...so your white blood cells can't fight the virus...and then it spreads from cell to cell and eventually takes over...HIV takes a while to develop...anywhere from 2-8 years...it can go undetected for a long time....it's important to know that you can't get it from touching someone with HIV or using public toilets...you can get it from an infected person's bodily fluids...primarily blood...and people with HIV look like you and me...you can't tell who has it and who doesn't....i hope i've helped...email me if you want to know more..

well aids is spread mainly sexualy, and there are many types of aids and hiv strainds thats why they say to protect your self....you cannot get it from touching or kissing, any salava only through blood contact and intercourse......and please be very care ful it is a very slow and painful death that they as doctors don't know how to cure.....it can take 25-30 years to kill you...and hopefuly they come up with a cure soon.....please make decisions carefully....hope i was of some help to you it attacks all parts of the immune system first then the rest of the human body.....

AIDS spreads in blood and other bodily fluids. You can get AIDS by sharing needles, sex (vaginal, anal, oral). You can't get AIDS from mosquitoes. You also can't get AIDS from people by kissing, toilet seats, drinking out of the same glass, etc.
AIDS attacks the immune system, which is the system that keeps you healthy and fights disease.
