a fade is a type of haircut done on men. using clippers, the stylist/barber cuts the hair and then "fades" (blends the line) the hair. this technique has nothing to do with color. usually a guy will want a 0-1 or a 1-2 fade. the numbers refer to the size of the guard used on the clippers.

fades to me (im a hairdresser) are usually a male hair that is short at the nape and gradually gets longer towards the top. but in the case of a color it could be a demi color that fades out to a natural hair color!!!! hope this helps you

A gradual shaving of ones head. Less hair at the back and more on top..Nothing to do with color
