Hell yes it is. Contact the Housing Authority. Or in some states they are called Renter's Association. Sue their ***.

yeah, i think if they find out that the house was used for a meth lab, they shut the house down and no one can live there anymore. i think it's illegal for them to rent it out to you if the owners knew it was used as a meth lab before. that's just a guess though.

You need to get a housing inspector over to your place asap! He will inspect the place and decide what tests must be conducted to declare the place habitable or not. I could be rumors about the previous owner or you may be smelling other chemicals that are having who knows what effect on all of your health. Call the housing department now.

yes it is illegal and meth users are way out of control I am not sure where i would start except maybe with local police records for about a buck a page you can find out about arrests or any illegal activities at the address, after that your local county government may be able to help you follow procedure, even EPA may be able to help.Good luck if you run in to any brick walls say hey maybe i can pull a niche or two up for you it varies from state to state

i was once told that the owner has to inform anybody moving in that it was a meth lab. legally i dont think it can be rented or sold . check with a lawyer.

If the police had found the lab when it was in operation, it would have been seized. Which would have been bad for the owners, becase they couldn't just clean it up and rent it out again.

i think that they condemn the place, where i live in washington its a race between the cops knocking the place down or the meth fiends burning it down. Either way, i hope you didnt pay too much rent there.

Dont't they usually have to tear them places down because of the toxins? Call the Department of Real Estate in your state and they should be able to guide you.
