The Bible is the record of God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Bible is the record of humanity in disobedience to a Holy, Righteous, and Just God.
Since you are so fixated on the "nonsense in the Bible" then how do you know the truth of what the Bible records as the teachings, works, and invitation of Jesus?
Rev. 3:20, Jesus wants to be invited into the "heart"; there is absolutely no need for you to try to "squeeze" Him in ... that would be too much a salvation of works.
Where do you start? Seriously??
Acknowledge you are a sinner,
Believe you need a Saviour (because you can't save yourself).
Confess Jesus as Saviour and seek to follow Him as Lord
Repent (be sorry) of your sin and your sins
Be Converted ... figuratively: turn around and go in the opposite direction. You have been going away from God, scoffing at His Word; be converted, join people of the "way".

Neither one if you don't want to. However you might want to do a web search on Bible Prophecy and see how much of it has been fulfilled with 100% accuracy before making a decision. Also check the dates it was prophesied and when it was fulfilled. Read Revelation 21:8.

Obviously, in your present condition/situation, it won't work either way. Something has to happen to you before your heart is de-petrified. In this new condition/situation, some people, although not yet believing, become very curious to read the Bible, along with some other stuff:

Others suddenly get faith, and Jesus squeezes Himself into their hearts (nice expression, by the way) before they know it, and then they become curious and so forth.
Oh, I forgot the Bible links (just in case...):

you have to start by giving up your attitude about the word of God being nonsense.
Jesus respected and loved God's word and if you can't change your attitude, and be more like Him, why even begin?..
but, fortunately, Jesus can still work with you even though I think the way you worded your question stinks.

Jesus is the word made flesh so you really need both, but if you have to squeeze either in anywhere there is a problem.

I think AveGirls' got ur answer. You've got to read through or research through differant scriptures and books of differant religions before you decide which is best for you.
Bible does contradict in a lot of places. Knowing this, you could try reading other books, even Koran (from the Muslims), and YOU decide!!!

Read the bible and then realize it makes no sense and contradicts constantly. Realize that it is fictional and written by MEN some of which were psychotic. Realize that it is MAN MADE.
THEN go out and buy books about all different religions and find the one that you go with.

You have to shave your genitalia until not one follicle of hair is more than 3 mm above the skin. Then you will be told all you need to know.
