does he not like me because he asked her to the dance and not me?

this guy starts talking to me outa no where.. asking me for help in math and from there we begin talking

at first i just thought he was one of those guys that always wanted to know the answer to each and every problem and so consulted with everyone.

then later on when we knew each other more i began to think he was friendly with everyone.

which he is, he knows way more girls than he knows boys.

recently ive been thinking hes got something for me. and i thought he was going to ask me to the dance. but we only talk in class and when we see each other..

he asked me if i was going to the dance and i asked him back and he said he was going with this girl.. and i never noticed till now but they are quite good friends.

when im with him i feel that we're different from how we used to talk.. and its different with him too.. and im dissapointed he didnt ask me. but a part of me thinks he wanted to but didnt know me well enough the other side says im not good enough

Maybe he thought he had a better chance of getting some with the other girl.

I'm not entire sure on this one but I will tell you the situation I was in a few years back.

I had a crush on this girl and wanted to ask her to a dance we were having and it seemed like she wanted to go with me too. She asked me who I was going with and I wanted to tell her, you! but I didn't have the guts to say it because sometimes it's hard for a guy to put himself out there and ask a girl that he likes out.

Well, while I was trying to summon the guts to ask her out, another guy asked her and he was a good friend so they ended up going with each other.

So if anything, if you feel like he acts differently around you and seems to be conveying some sort of emotion toward you, he probably wanted to ask you out but ended up going with someone else because she asked him or maybe it was the safe choice.

In any case, if you feel like there should be more to it, then confront him about it and ask him if there's anything there. It doesn't hurt to ask. You guys are friends now and being open should develop your relationship even more.

girl, he won't think u're not good enough, believe me..... :) be confident about yourself......listen to your instinct......what if u're right??? he wanted to but he was shy.......in that way, u gotta take the first move.....good luck!!!
