Sounds like fun:
A spork (my personal favorite)
An item made in
A piece of fruit stripe gum
A can of Rainier Beer (or an obscure brand of your choice…Alaskan Smoked Porter, Molson XXX, Bud Dry…or something a little easier…a beer made with maple syrup, Tsing-Tao (China), San Miguel (Philippines I think), Presidente (Dominican Republic), Polar (Venezuela), Goose Island (Chicago), etc…)
A receipt from a certain store showing the purchase of a product (like a receipt from Sam’s Club showing the purchase of a pastry product)
Buy the product that spelled “relief” in the 1980’s
Something that contains aspirin without the work aspirin in its name.
A napkin from the local TGIF restaurant
An “arrow” used to hold fruit in a drink from a local bar
A “to go” package of mayonnaise
A photograph of a station wagon
A digital photograph of the person … (standing in a fountain, begging for change, etc…)
A positive pregnency test
Sorry, I’m running out of ideas…hope this helps..
Depending on your age, you could make a list of items from your childhood. This can be very difficult, depending on the intent and/or how much money you want people to spend. For me, a Monchhichi, a Stomper, a stick of brittle baseball card gum, a Summit bar, something with Oat Bran, Brim Coffee, a copy of Dr. Seuss' Grinch Who Stole Christmas, a game for an Atari, a pair of Tough Skins jeans, a commemerative Jim Beam bottle (ok..that predates me), a metal lunchbox with matching thermos, Crystal Pepsi, a returnable bottle, a photo of a carburetor, a metal hubcap, a 78 speed record (or whatever speed they were), a laser disc movie, ...

Rather than items...if it is adults...you need to give them a clue that leads them to a local store or restaurant. Once there the front desk will have another clue that they must figure out and go the the next establishment...and so forth. You use cars. But rather than finding items in a field or something like that they are using clues to go different locations...much more challenging for adults. First one back with all the clues wins.
