That's a good question .If you didn't have it in the first place you didn't loose it.
MLM can you explain what "whatever you bind on earth shall be considered bound in Heaven and the sins of those you forgive they shall be forgiven"?

Is this question directed at those who lost thier faith in God and left the Catholic Church? I didn't lose faith in God. I accepted Christ into my heart after a Nun instructed me on how I could pray to God. When I prayed, I felt an annointing oil pouring over my head. I'll never forget that. After that my eyes were opened to spiritual things. I was no longer bored in Church. I remember looking at the stained glass windows, looking at the stations of the cross. My parents became dissillutioned with the organization, and although they were also believers, they left. The eventually met a man that was having Bible studies once a week. There my parents and I learned more about the Bible. I didn't have a problem with leaving the Catholic Church, because I felt that it was just an organization, and buildings and that it's what is in your heart that matters. Later from reading the Bible I began to understand that my feelings were correct, and you could have a personal relationship with Jesus. Every denomination has flaws, there are goats among the sheep in every flock. Seek a relationship with Jesus, and read the Bible.
If you truly seek God you will find him. Jesus loves you, and thinks you are precious. He created you and thinks you are wonderfully made. All I can say is read the Bible. I didn't turn my back on anything, I turned to God for answers, and found him and found a church that teaches straight from the Bible, and has the same kind of faith that I do.
You don't have to leave any church or join any church. Just be like a child and read the Bible and pray to God.

Yes but answer me why this religion had to have their own sets of commandments, weren't God's commandments good enough.

We were taught that God is never changing and yet the religion has undergone many changes in the last few decades which I have witnessed this is what made me question.

The icing on the cake is when you find out that when a priest was caught molesting children in a diocese he was then protected by the vadican and sent to another diocese instead of exposing these perpetrators for what they were they were protected and given to unsuspecting diocese, true followers so they could molest their children too. It is all over the paper.

I just got tired of all the lying, like December 25th is the date of Jesus birth, then you read the bible and nothing about celebrating Christmas or Easter is in there, we were not taught the holy days of God.

Also why did we go to church on Sunday the first day of the week instead of Saturday the seventh, we rest on the first day of the week, God commanded us to keep his Sabbath holy, the seventh day is Saturday and the days of the week have not been played with as the months of the calendars have. Look deeper you will see that there is room for great improvement, I do not judge those who choose to follow this religion, they are as sheeps being led, the blind leading the blind, there are priests who are true chistians, and catholic followers who are true christians as well, this is true of all religions however.

It just seemed more intelligent to me once the truth was revealed to follow the great teacher, Jesus Christ, and am much happier doing that. Peace be with you.

Absolutly - in fact - studying Catholic History - in fact all Religous history will inspire anyone to question what I have learned to call "Fear Based, Command and Control, Less Than" doctrines, teachings and organized religions designed to control masses of people.

Jesus taught to check the "Fruit on the Tree" - inspecting the historic fruit on all religious trees reveals many "ungodly" things consistantly throughout history which are often ignored or swept under the rug with "censorship", propaganda, and out right lies to forward a "Power" agenda.

It all boils down to the context of "Unlimited".

Deity has not limitations. Ponder "Unlimited" even for a short period of time and suddenly you realize there is a lot of crap out there.

As IF - Deity needs anything? Or is "Angery", or "Jealous". Needs "blood sacrifices" - people assume that what they read and are taught from birth is "truth" - and so Islam creates generations of "Holy Warriors" - did you know that Jesus was a Palistian Freedom Fighter? - Oh - well - if not that is because you were not born and raised in that part of the world.

Our arrogance inspires us with a "I'm right - your wrong" approach. "Jesus said", "Mohammad said" the truth is - nobody knows what anyone has said.

The truth - is - Deity is beyond gender, language, history or limitation - which is why all cultures - and spiritual paths have histories of "Miracles" and "Personal Experiences".

WHY - Because Deity is not limited to our personal, regional or religious Dogmas. The Diverisity of Divine Interaction with human beings is AMAZING.

There is nothing wrong with being Catholic - as long as your not trying to "rule the world" again and demanding "convert or die" or on some "inquisition" and burning people at the stake not to mention the coordinated seizures of property, art, lands, etc.

What is bothersome is the "lies" of religions to influence masses of people for Social, Political and Religious biases and dogmas.

MY CHALLENGE - Stop quoting history, stop the "the Bible Says" or "so and so said..." - set all of that aside - go out side and find Deity - personal - present - alive and well.

You can't find Deity through in the past - you have to be present and someone elses experiences are WONDERFUL - but is nothing compared to your own.

Belief and faith - "Knowing" from personal experience is amazing. All religious mythologies - you will notice that the Divine always demonstrates power - and does not rely on belief or faith - those contexts are taught those who are "sheep" by would be "shephards" when in truth - no sheep can ever become a shephard.

The Catholic Church is changing and evolving as it always has. It will be good when they appologize for supporting Adolf Hitler's campaign, and to the Pagans for the "Burning Times" of the inquisition.

Until they "own their truth", really - if you are a truth seeker - it's not about turning your back on anything - it's about being loyal to "truth" and inspecting that fruit on the tree.

Once you start "waking up" you can't really go back and submit to things you know to be fabrications and doctrines of command and control - rooted in fear.

The Divine is SO WAY BEYOND all of that.

To Terrorists - "The Creator of All that is - does not need you to kill anyone or go to war." Next time "God" or what ever tells you to do something like that - "Just say no" - why - WRONG GOD, let Deity do it's own 'dirty work'. Don't buy into everything you've been taught - question everything - seek truth - and you will find it. Sometimes it hurts - but truth will set you free.

p.s. - Women are not less than, all life comes from women - and it is co-creation in the example of all that is. But that is a topic for another time.

I DID really study catholicism before I chose to leave. I also asked the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth to me before I re-read the New Testament and it came alive for me like never before. I hope you take a risk on truth and also ask that the truth be revealed to you whatever it is. Doesn't anyone want that? Maybe it will deepen your catholic faith or lead you elsewhere. (Like to a relationship.)
I also do not "persecute" catholicism or catholics. I live and let live. However, the catholics in my life have done quite the opposite.

What's to understand? Confession is a joke! No man has the power OR the right to absolve any sins. Only God can do that. And worship and pray to Mary??? Please! Praying to Mary is like praying to my dog...fruitless! Where does it say in the Bible that Mary, or any of the saints, answer our prayers? And then there's purgatory...what the hell is that? It's heaven or hell...there's no waiting room when we die. Trust me, had I not wised up and left the Catholic church (which does not teach salvation or the Scriptures), I'd be on my way to hell.

Do you know that people who think that they are better than others are an abomination to everybody?

My experience has been that people who know the most about religion are the most likely to abandon it, or to take immoral advantage of it.

Otherwise intelligent people who chose to forego the real presence of Jesus Christ in favor of a book and a long distance "relationship" ... go figure!

The father of lies must be very busy these days.

I wasn't baptized into the Church, unfortunately. I am in the process of converting to Catholicism because I found out Fundamentalists had been lying to me in their "arguments against Catholicism".
