Try sparkling grape juice for the kids. It comes in a champagne bottle and is usually found at the end of the wine aisle, just past the cheap stuff.

Tastes like a Cosmopolitan, but has no alcohol:
1 part cranberry juice
3 parts sprite or something similar (use soda water if you don't want it too sweet)
lime juice (best if you squeeze fresh lime)
mix in a shaker with ice, you can serve in martini glasses or any other glass.

you could to to any grocery store and grab the pre-mixed non-alcoholic drinks that you mix alcohol with and just mi us that ingredient. I like Rose's Cocktails Infusions, flavors include Blue Raspberry, Green Apple, Watermelon, Cranberry, Tangerine... mix those with 7UP and they're awesome. I also agree with the Shirley Temple, those are good too, my mom was a bartender so when we would see her at work she would make those for us.

My mom always used to make non-alcoholic punch for kids' parties. Really simple. Get a really big bowl. Use two litres of juice (grape, cranberry or orange works good but whatever suits your taste) per litre of gingerale. Throw in lots of ice and some lemons.
My dad also used to make alcohol free bloody mary's (he called them 'easter bunny cocktails')--tomato juice, worchestishire sauce, a little salt, some lemon juice,a little hot sauce and a stick of celery (to make it look all fancy and such).
We also used to drink non-alcoholic dandelion beer when I was little but it'd be hard to find unless you make it yourself and dandelions are out of season.

You are kidding yourself. You may not be intentionally glorifying drinking to your kids, but deep inside you know you are or you would not have said you weren't. More importantly, they will see it that way.
If you insist, there are recipes. I would google or yahoo search, "non alcoholic cocktail recipes. You will find more than you need.
