In 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 the Bible speaks about the coming of “The Wicked One” or the Anti-Christ. It refers that “deceit” will be used as his source of power and says:
3 Do not let anyone deceive you in any way.... 9 The Wicked One will come with the power of Satan 10 and use every kind of wicked deceit on those who will perish. They will perish because they did not welcome and love the truth so as to be saved. 11 And so God sends the power of error to work in them so that they believe what is false. (Emphasis added) 12 The result is that all who have not believed the truth, but have taken pleasure in sin, will be condemned. (St. Jerome Catholic Study Bible)

So error (erroneous ideas) is what leads anyone and even whole societies into doing things they should or should not do. Yes, we are definitely in the last days and 2 Thessalonians is relevant for what's going on today. God has given even the elect over to reprobate mind just like the unbelievers. False prophets will rise and deceive those who are of God. We must have the spirit of discernment to expose evil works of Satan. I pray that we will be ready when Jesus comes and become watchmen.

Shalom

I think were in the End Times. This is the first time in history when everything is in place. Israel has been re-established...1947. The Bible says everyone in the world will see Christ's return.....satellite TV. The Bible talks about a war(a nuclear war) which will precede Antichrist's arrival....read Ezekiel 38.
2 Thessalonians talks about false prophets....look at so-called Christian TV. It also says there will be a falling away.....look at the comments here.
All the pieces are together, there is nothing prophetically or Biblically preventing Christ from returning.

You are so there. However, the wicked one is still enjoying his power and so many have been trapped by his deceptions. The destruction is not about the earth. Wars and disasters brought by nature are just signs and a clear message of God as His curse because we gave ourselves to the wrong teachings and have been commited to Blasphemy and idolatry innocently. We thougth we are all correct. How clever is satan but his time is getting short. If all will know the name of God, then he is finished.

They asked Jesus when will these things be and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of this system of things...Matthew 24:7-14
Read the rest of that chapter...when the scriptures talk about false prophets..it says don't listen to them. But how will you know if it is from God or a false prophet?
The one from God will use God's word. They will live their lives to God's glory.

Bible is much too arbituary and ambiguos. It's common thing for people to talk about 'end times' whenever theres some international security issues at hand.
