If on my mom's side there are twins, and on my dad's side - my grandfather was a triplet and there was a set of twins...- what are my chances of having twins?

It seems like a pretty good possibility. The chance of someone having multiples is, at least partially, determined by heredity. If it runs in your family, it doesn't really have anything to do with your husbands "swimmers," as multiples can form from one fertilized egg. There was a woman in my childbirth class who was expecting twins, and she had both twins and tripletts in her family, whereas her husband did not have any family history of multiple births. I've always heard that it "skips a generation," but I think that may be an old wives tale.

In any case... twins, triplets, or just one... Good luck to you and yours!

Depends on your signicifant other. There needs to be a set of twins on both sides of mom and dad. If there is then there is a possibly of twins

its a hormonal thing sweetie..and i say your chance is about as good as anyone who doesnt have twins in the family..but i do hear that lately woman having more than one baby at a time is most likely because they cant get pregnant any other way and have a procedure done where the egg is fertilized with the sperm of her spouse or whomever..like artificial insamination..

I guess it is looks like it might skip a generation on ur dad side. i am guessing about a 30 to 40 percent chance. It all depends on ur partner's little swimmers once they reach ur egg.
