Would not the philosophy forum be better suited to your queries, since you have no claim to a belief in religion? No disrespect intended.

Spibbles: Atheism Is more a philosophy ....it can't be a religion...athiests don't believe in God. That was my point...why do unbelievers want to spend all of their time here?

Who assists atheists crossing over, gorgeous, and where do you cross over to, and for how long? Is it for eternity?

I do look there too, but it seems that most of the discussion is here. The lack of religious belief obviously does fit in the religion category, but I agree that atheism is more philosophical than religious.

I also look to question why people have religious beliefs since they seem so absurd to me and that is more of a religious discussion than philosophical one.

I see this same question frequently. This forum also has the word "Spirituality" in its title. Just because I may not believe in God, does not negate my spirituality. I believe that I have a soul and I will cross over when my body dies.

Personally, I am here frequently because I have something to say.

If an atheist has queries about religion, why would he/she post them in the philosophy section?

Ought non-pet owners to refrain from asking questions in the pet section too? And all non-doctors from asking questions about health?

Most people come here for a good debate.
But atheism is not a disbelief in religion, as it's obvious it exists, rather a disbelief in a god or higher being.

People today are too smart for hell it seems. Of course, till they die and wind up there. Deep deep inside, where their minds cannot search, they know the truth and there is a testimony against them there. So they rebel against you cause you speak of heaven, hell and a Christ that isn't foolin around.

Spirituality is not theistic. My friend is a devout Zen Buddhist and an atheist as well.

If that's true wouldn't christianity be better suited to mythology and folklore?
