The Knife Center of the Internet has some neat light solutions. See the Sources field. I've purchased some tiny LED-based pocket lights from them; these things are SO much brighter than small incandescents that it's staggering.
The Photon brand lights in particular are what I've bought recently -- they're great "emergency" lights to stick on a keyring, and for around ten bucks they're a good value. I bought my son a Spyderco mini-knife/light keychain set, and he's thrilled; he's been asking to open all our mail ever since I got it for him.

REI, or Adventure 16.
REI has an outlet (on-line), and headlamps are sometimes slashed for a quick sale.
I have a Princeton Tec, and it has been flawless.
