In some African, Middle Eastern,and Asian countries, this is done to female babies so they will not "shame the family" after they reach puberty.
Many die, suffer from terrible infections,or have female problems in their childbearing years.

No punishment is enough and the child cannot ever be made whole.
That being said, I vote for castration and life imprisonment because his daughter will never enjoy sex the way she should have and will forever feel the implications of what he did.
I would suggest that he be allowed out of prison under guard once a month so he can sweep floors and clean toilets in a high priced bordello. This way he will be surrounded on a regular basis by the pleasures he can never have again.

I've heard of this and am repulsed that such a thing occurs. It would be like cutting off the penis of all young boys. It's illegal and I wish there was such a thing as a punishment to fit the crime. That poor little girl will never experiance the joys of sex and will suffer for the rest of her life. If I were in charge of the punishment..that man would no longer have a penis...

Unfortunately female genital mutilation is still practiced in some cultures, and by some severely disturbed people. It is difficult to say what should happen to him, but he should not ever be allowed near children again. The impact of his actions are probably going to be life-long and severely psychologically disturbing to his victim, so the punishment should fit the crime. I would recommend the maximum sentence a court would allow for such a case of child abuse.

It's mutilation. Many things are allowed to pass in the name of religious freedom. Any sentence in which he would serve less than 10 years of real time would be a miscarriage of justice.

He should be thrown in jail for the rest of his life!!
And I have heard of female circumcision it is disgusting and immoral. No girl should have to go through this it is also against the law and it hurts really bad. They do this in Africa in some places so that the girl will not want to have sex because it hurts them so much.

He should be punished in the same way all other genital mutilators are punished in this country.
All non-consensual genital mutilation should be outlawed! Male and female. Usually it is the mothers who call for girls to be circumcised, so they will "look like everyone else" and "because it is cleaner" etc... Sound familiar?

This has been going on for centuries in other countries. Personally if it happened here in the US, we'd view it different because it is not socially acceptable. I'd give him the death pently for harming a child but then again Im from Texas and we are known for killing our inmates..lol jk

Female circumcision involves the removal of the labia, the clitoral hood, and most extremely, the clitoris itself, followed by infibulation (i.e. suturing or pinning shut the vaginal opening with just a little hole for menstrual fluid to drain).
This is female genital mutilation. It is an evil cultural practice, which, notwithstanding multiculturalism and tolerance for different practices, must be eradicated, much as we have eliminated cannibalism and ritual (religious) prostitution.

That's called genital mutilation and it is illegal! It could also be called child abuse too. Have this man arrested or atleast call DCFS and have them investigate it, they could atleast get her in a safer environment.
What he did will get him in jail, and he'll probably have to be on a registered sex offenders list too, because if you think about it, he had no reason to cut off a little girl's clitoris, so that could be considered a sexual thing he was doing.
Get help for the girl. She is in excruciating pain and she will be for the rest of her life. it's not fair for her.
