Keep in mind that everyone is different, they feel pain differently. Okay, The factors that make tattoos hurt are, but not limited to: sensitive skin, thin skin, skin over the bone, skin near the bone, skin with a lot of hair follicles mucus membrane, lots of nerve endings near the surface of skin...etc

(Examples: Ribs, Inner Lip, tongue, head, Chest, eye, eyelid, hands, fingers, Wrists, Fingers, genital regions, Ankles, Nipples, toes, tops of feet, upper inner arm, facial tattoos, neck, throat, ...etc)

Pretty much anywhere you think might fall under those descriptions of the types of skins and locations that hurt, or you THINK it will be sensitive, then it will most likely hurt more.

Alright, if this is just opinion,
My finger and my chest hurt the most out of the ones I have, but I don't have my ribs tattooed yet. That one will take the cake.

If you are considering tattoos, don't get one yet if you are going to just worry about pain. They hurt, but it's nothing unbearable. Placement should be decided on your own preference, and consider your job options, keep it in mind. A tattoo in a place that is easily show, but easily hidden for work or what not is a good way to avoid problems in getting the job you want.

Areas where the bone is closer to the skin, are the most painfull, everywhere else muscle and fat areas are a piece of cake, hardly any pain.

Though the upper arm underneath is pretty painful too.

I have two tattoos and both were incredibly painful although I have a pretty high pain tolerance...my first on was on the top of my foot and it hurt bad! I went into my second one thinking it couldn't be worse than the pain of the first but I was wrong! I got it on my right side stretching from the top of my hip bone up to the bottom of my ribs...I wouldnt particularly recommend either spot!

Who ever would tattoo their balls has issues lol sorry if that were the case i would believe the balls to be the most painful. However the most painful place to get a tat is on the ankel. The more fat, padding you have for a tattoo the better it will be and feel. The ankle as we know doesn't have alot of fat there mostly just bone and skin.

I have just had the centre of my upper back underneath the neckline. It was pretty painful to deal with, the big thing I found was afterwards. Having sit in the same position not being able to move my head has given me some sever back pain. I heard this was one of the most painful bits, but everyone is different.

Allegedly, it is your ankle , but I have a high pain tolerance (fell asleep while getting my tattoo, the buzzing noise hypnotizes me and I was really tired)---btw, my husband got a tatoo on his arm and almost passed out (WIMP)
