Light fast food is still more expensive than buying a bunch of veggies at the store and bringing them with a few nuts and cottage cheese to munch on at work. For lunches, I normally take a 2$ can of tuna with a 50 cent egg and mix with 25 cents worth of oats and some green onions, salt and pepper and make "fish pancakes" in a frying pan with coconut oil. Cost= about 3$....alot less than a sub from subway with processed foods and white flour in the bread (yes...even the whole wheat bread has white flour added to it) I also take TONS of inexpensive veggies to work and munch all day. I lost 54 lbs, you can see my before and after pic here http://www.healthandstrength.net and I NEVER eat out. It's a waste of money, when I could be buying whole foods.

Here is what I did to lose my weight and I still do these things every day. Hopefully some, if not all can be useful in your journey:

1. NEVER EVER ate sugar. It's a poison that makes us older, sicker, fatter and tired...all things we dont want. Seriously, sugar is the one who does the dirty work in weight gain. Stop eating it all together. You can see my list of ingredients to avoid when shopping here http://www.healthandstrength.net/qofweeka.htm...
2. Drink ALOT of water. 2-3 liters a day. The more the merrier! We need about half our body weight in ounces JUST for regular body functions! When you feel thirsty, that means you are already dehydrated and lose brain function. Water flushes toxins from your fat cells and keeps you younger.
3. Exercise!!! So very important. Here http://www.healthandstrength.net/abexe.htm... are my favorite ab exercises. I also do cardio 4-5 days a week for about 30 minutes a time.
4. Eat less. How many calories do you think is in that burger or that plate of fries or in that handful of chips. What about overfilling our plates? If you go here http://www.healthandstrength.net/qofweek.htm... I wrote something about saving on calories and losing weight.
5. Go to sleep before 10pm. Your body starts repairing and rebuilding and speeding up weight loss while you sleep only if you sleep at about 10pm. If you are awake and go to bed at 12, you miss out on that very important time. I have a good article on my site here http://www.healthandstrength.net/qofweekb.htm that talks about the importance of sleep and how STRESS can make actually make you fatter.
6. BE POSITIVE. Be thankful every day and love yourself
7. BE CONSISTANT! That I think is the KEY to losing weight. So what if you went a week and only lost a pound...or didnt lose any...KEEP going. DON'T stop. This is a lifelong commitment, so stick to it and one day you will open your eyes and need a new wardrobe!
8. Eat more veggies and skinny friendly foods. I have my list of my top ten foods that I ate to lost weight here http://www.healthandstrength.net/tenfoods.htm...
80% veggies at every meal including breakfast will keep you young and help you lose weight.
9. Do the little things that count! Check out 10 cool ideas that you can do to help boost your calorie burn throught the day here: http://www.healthandstrength.net/tips.htm

Good luck and don't forget that YOU are the only one who decides what foods enter your body and how long you sit around. Make the change, take the chance and give yourself time! You can do it. I know you can!

Hi,
I've tried all different diets, and the weight loss is only temporary. I finally tried diet pills on the market are made from Hoodia. I saw this stuff on ABC News. It's all natural and safe, and it works! My wife took it for a month and dropped 20 pounds. I took it for a month and lost about 13 (but I didn't exercise).

I bought the natural hoodia from this website: http://www.alllsite.info/free-diet-pills.php . I checked the web site address so I can post it here and I saw they're running a promotion now to get a free 2 week sample for only $4.97! I'm going to order this supply for my wife and give it to her for Christmas =)

Do some stomach exercises when you're sitting at your desk. Just pull your bellybutton in towards your spine constantly.

I'd look at your water intake. Most of us are dyhdrated and are unable to distinquish "thirst" from "hunger" signals in our brains.

Most of us do not hydrate properly - often since we are kids. When we eat a lot of cooked and acid producing foods - our bodies create and store toxins (in fat) because we do not drink enough water that acts as a transport for toxins out of the body.

This is why proper diet and exercise doesn't work for many people.

Higher pH water seems to work better and there is research that water itself takes on different crystaline structures that affect it's ability to do many things.

Personally - I lost 30 lbs last year effortlessly simply by hydrating. (Over about 6 months) It took about 10 days of drinking 8 to 16 oz every hour before I started being able to sense "thirst" vs "food" cravings - once your "thirst" signal is activated - just listen to your body.

Note: Dairy products - hydrate before, during and after - as they cause your entire digestive system to mucus up to protect itself from the acid created to digest it (think of when you eat Ice Cream and there is almost always "free water" at most ice cream places. This mucus foruming takes up a lot of body water resources to produce. I try to limit Dairy intake, and when I do have any kind of Dairy - my body makes me thirsty before, during and after :)

Note: when you reach for pop, diet anything, juices, etc. This is not Hydrating - WATER simple - clean - refreshing.

Not all water - goes down the same. Spring Water seems to be easiest to drink. Room temperature water seems to hydrate the body faster.

The only thing wrong with being overweight is the health risks it usually accompanies. I would say you should try to slim down to a healthy weight (YOUR ideal weight, not society's ideal weight), but yes do embrace your curves!
