It's perfectly fine to date. I'm not sure what your situation is, but don't let people look down on you because it's none of their business. You don't have to put the baby's father on the birth certifiicate. In most states, if he isn't there to sign it and you put it on, he could contest to have it taken off. My daughter's father is not on her birth certificate for a very good reason. The only downside to this is if you want to collect child support in the future. You will have to have the courts order a paternity test which is a real hassle. Whatever you decide, good luck and congratulations.

well I am kinda in the same state as you. As far as dating I started dating again. It just depends on the guys if they are willing to date you being pregnant. As for the birth certificate you can tell the hospital you dont know who the father is and leave it blank, but now if they babys father wants to see it he can request a dna test and if it shows hes the father he has rights to the baby, and will then have to pay you child support and can get visitation rights, even if you dont want him too.

I'm confused- are you asking if you can date while you are 4 months pregnant and if it is legal to leave the father's name off the birth certificate? You can do both.

You can date. But i recomend putting the fathers name on the birth certificate. unless you want to put your baby up for adoption. You don't have to put it there, but it is the right thing to do. My mom did.

Why should it not be ok to date if you're single? Being pregnant just means don't drink. If it's ok with him that you're pregnant, go ahead, date!
Sorry, can't help with the legal question - in New Zealand it's ok, but your laws are different.

if he wants to be in the babies life then yeah he has a right to have his name on the birth certificate.

It is stupid to go and date someone else when pregnant because I can tell you your setting yourself up to get heart broken because as soon as the baby is born the guy is going to walk away.

You need to worry about one thing and one thing only and thats your baby not boys, worrying about boys were what got you into this.

Enjoy your time while pregnant and worry about how your goign to support and take care of your baby, boys are not going anywhere, you have your whole life to date them, I do not think your goign to die from single syndrome.

yes it is not required to include the fathers' name

if you and the young man are not involved and someone is interested in dating you at this time - yes enjoy yourself

but none of this was the baby's choice so please do not require the baby to pay the price

seek help thru local savealife center for further details of options for you and the baby

You can date if you're pregnant, but I don't know why you would! It seems like your focus would be elsewhere...I wouldn't do it...
