I'm a woman and I like being in control of the fiances and stupid stuff like where we go to eat.I think that there is a natural alfa dog in every relationship. If you look in nature you can see that one dog submits to another. I think it's great if you can be 50/50 but it's not very likely to happen that way. People have different issues that are important to them and things that are not important that they may decide that they can give into their partner. I have to say that if you dominate your partner on everything that you are more likely to get a divorce. the different issues may not come out the same but who ever comes out 40/60 needs to be comfortable with that point are less they will get tired of submitting and tear their spouse a new one and file for divorce. Most of the time it is the women who take and the man who takes control. However as we all know the divorce rate has risen to show that women aren't staying in their place like we used to.

There really shouldn't be anyone in control, but I guess it would depend on the relationship. I would say about 75 to 80 % would have the guys in control.

As a girl Id luv 2 say the girl, but it really matters who has the more controlling personality. Also there are cases in which no one really is in control.

It will vary...typically the stronger personality will take over and the other will either go along for the ride, or provide some input but do little decision making...it could be the dude or chick, depends on the people...
Other relationships are very nearly balanced with both partners making decisions or "running" areas that they excel in...or they may decide to make all decisions together...

That would depend on the relationship but it really shouldn't be a competition but each having equal say in the relationship and trying to have a win/win situation not a win/lose

In a GOOD relationship, it really is 50/50.
In a destined-for-badness relationship, take your pick. No one should dominate or control any relationship. That's just bad news.

It should be both. Because a relationship is a one way street with both people walking the same way evenly. One shouldn't be the boss over the other.
