It depends on what kind of calories you are eating and how active you are. I would say around 2000-2300...but if you are trying to lose weight, I would say more like 1800.....I lost 54 lbs by watching what I ate...you can see my before and after pic here http://www.healthandstrength.net and read an article I wrote about calories here http://www.healthandstrength.net/qofweek.htm
Depending what you eat is the difference. If you think, 2000 calories is pretty much a whole pizza...now we dont want you eating a whole pizza once a day just for your daily calories. You have to split them up into 5-6 small meals a day. A chocolate brownie type thing from Quizno's is over 500 calories! I keep my foods in the "do not contain empty calorie SUGAR" category. I have a list of ingredients that I will never eat here: http://www.healthandstrength.net/qofweeka.htm

You don't say how tall you are, and you don't say how active you are, and both of those factors are important.
If you are around 6' tall and moderately active, somewhere around 2000-2500 calories a day would probably be about right. If you're very active, bike to work, climb mountains on the weekend and go for a two mile run every evening, you could easily be in the 4,000 calorie range and still look lean. So it really depends on your build and your activity level. There are probably a dozen books in the library that will help you find your caloric balance.
Good luck!

Multiply your weight by 11. That's how much calories you need to maintain your weight; if you need to increase your weight, then you need to add more calories. A pound is equal to 3300 calories. So to gain or lose, you need to increase or decrease intake by that much. It's impossible to eat all or lose 3300 in a day, so do it over time. I hope that helps.

In order to maintain the current weight that you're at and if your activity level is not overly active, only doing normal daily activities, you would need to consume about 2150 kcalories per day.
If you are a fairly active person and by active I mean exercising strenuously >3 days per week, you would need to consume about 2500 kcalories per day to maintain your current weight.

I'd say 2200 if you don't exercise, 2500 if you do. That is if you want to keep your weight. If you want to lose you'd have to exercise.
