my family members tell me not to eat fish at night because something of digestion and it could harm me is that true?

Fish is largely protein, and is better for you than red meat. As for not eating it at night -- you shouldn't eat a huge portion of anything at night because it overloads your stomach and that can disturb your sleep. Also give you bad dreams. But if you're talking about eating your evening meal, just eat a normal portion of fish and enjoy. It won't cause any unpleasant aftereffects.

No it won't harm you hun, that's an old wives tale. Just don't eat right before bed because digestion keeps some people awake at night. I could eat a full meal and go right to sleep, but if I eat berries I have disturbed sleep, weird.

Well, I wouldn't eat anything at night before bed anyways as digesting anything while you sleep interferes with HGH and melatonin production (Your stay-young and stay-slim hormones - you can read more about sleep here http://www.healthandstrength.net ) Fish does have the lowest amino acid chain of most meat, but it has fat in it to, which yes, does take longer to digest at night. You should make sure there are at least 2 hours of NO eating before you sleep. Before that you should be fine...
