it's just mean you're more american than japanese, it just like Japanese people are your ancestors, you don't know nothing about them

Not really. Most Japanese that I know eat out when they eat sushi, know to fold origami which they learned in elementary school and spake because they are in those environments. If you are not then it is not strange at all.

Pefectly normal. I'm an Aussie and I've never climbed Sydney Harbour Bridge, or seen Ayers Rock. But I've made sushi and know a few Japanese words.

No, not strange at all, especially you born in country other than Japan. People thinks I'm strange because I'm Japanese but doesn't eat sushi. (I hate it!)

In fact, if you cooked sushi - it would cease to be sushi.
You make products & designs by Origami, but you do not MAKE Origami, Origami is a process- not a product: you DO origami.
(so truly, no one cooks sushi or makes origami)

It isn't strange at all, especially if you were born in the US. But, I've heard teens in Japan are also departing from tradition. So no, it isn't strange.
