Instead of banging the broom on the ceiling go up there and ask nicely. Explain that it bothers you. The manager should take care of it, that's their job. And if all else fails, call the police. You don't have much choice other than listen to their music, call the cops or move.

If you are too much of a coward to call the police and put an end to the disturbance...and you are further agitating the problem by screaming at your neighbor and banking with the broom...than move...otherwise suck it up and quit crying about something you don't have the intestinal fortitude to take care of...You can also file a complaint with the police department against your property manager as long as you have proof that you have complained on more than one occasion and they have told you there is nothing they are going to do about it. If you are part of the problem...moving is the only solution.

Instead of banging on the ceiling have you tried to ask them calmly and politely ? If the landlord won't do anything tell them you will have to move because the apartment is unlivable. They might do something then to prevent losing the income. The police are the last try. You don't want to start a turf war but can you continue living like you are now ? Just remember to be calm and polite with everyone, it gets better results and makes you look like the reasonable one.

Ya know what..I was kinda in the same situation...But sometimes to get the point across that's what you have to do...You are paying rent and they are disturbing you, that's not right....I say you should call the cops ..then maybe they will listen and know you mean buissness...Also get a report, I don't know about your apts..but If someone gets the cops called from them disturbing the peace 3 times they get evicted..So do what you gotta do....Don't worry about it...You'll be glad you did call them,,,,good Luck

The property manager is full of it. There is a "right to quiet enjoyment clause" in every lease/rental agreement that I have ever seen. Find yours and look for it. It should apply all the time, not just after 10p.m. (which is usually the only time a legal noise ordinance begins).

I had neighbors like that, only my husband was playing music and they beat on the wall (we live in a townhouse). It made him mad and he just put it louder. He said he would have turned it down if they would have came to the door and nicely asked to turn it down. We didn't speak to them at all either

that happens all the time at my friends apartment. Just keep calling the police. You can't really do much besides that. You can always have a battle of who can play the loudest most annoying music...but that's just childish. But fun!!

Call the cops - you don't have to tell them it is you. After that it is their problem. Either that or turn up some music of your own. Good luck!

I think you will need outside help. That means the police. If you don't get along with them, then they don't care about you (or probably anyone else). So nothing will change until they are told by authority to turn it down, etc.

i think you should talk to your neighbors nicely and tell them whats been goin on that distracts you!! also tell them that they can still play musics but not too loud!!
if this doesnt work, you just have to call the cops. its the best thing to do!!
hope this helps
