How likely are you to become a research pharmacist if you graduate with a Pharm.D.?

I know all pharmacy schools boast great job placement ratings, but how many students actually go into research instead of a CVS type job.

The largest pool, at my university, will go into community (retail) pharmacy, then hospital/insitutional pharmacy, than managed care, than industrial. The number which decide to go for a PhD is one to two per year, and the number which go for fellowships is a little higher at about 3 to 4 per year.
