TRANS-CANADA HIGHWAY = 7699 km
the TCH stretches for 7699 km across the worlds second largest country (yay canada!). this road trip is equal in distance to driving across new york state seventeen times. the highways start / finish points are the cities of
victoria on vancouver island, bc & st. john’s, newfoundland.
TCH weaves through the spectacular rocky mountains where special overpasses have been built just for the wildlife and several 'snow sheds' have been added to protect the highway from winter avalanches. cross the wide open prairies, ride through the forests of northern ontario, touch ottawa, and make your way along the mighty st. lawrence and finish with the charming fishing villages of atlantic canada.
