I've got bad hearing loss and severe tinnitus.

I cannot understand anyone talking to me from across an average sized room from all the "noises"

You can run yourself broke trying various medicines and concoctions to treat it.......heck,,even just to find something that helps.

What works for one person may not necessarily work for another

One thing that I just stumbled upon which helps a bunch for me,,
and everyone I've suggested it to claims to have gotten noticeable results...

ZINC>>a buncha Zinc.
I take a zinc tablet 2~3 times a day.

Potassium>>I take one tablet a day

Vitamic C>>I always take a bunch,,a huge bunch-- I dont even know how much,,I practically "snack" on vitamin C tablets

B-100 complex>>one a day

It works SLOW,,,barely noticeable on a day to day basis.
Then in about a week I notice that the noise is very minimal.

If I quit/skip(which I do too frequently),,in 3~4 days the noises become extreme again,,,
and only THEN do I realize how much improvement had been made.

I think the Zinc has the most profound effect.
Potassium is probably 2nd.
B-100,,probably ties with Potassium
Vit C,,I cant tell,,I've taken so much for so long it's hard to say.

One thing I've been Told 1st hand by several people who swear it helps THEM,,but I never tried it myself,
is an herbal thing called Black Cohosh Root.

It's commonly promoted for female hormonal probs during menopause.
There's been several studies which "prove" it's effectiveness for that app.

I read a little about the stuff and it's effects,,,and it made sense to me.

It's influences are not so much a "female health thing",,,
but how it influences a variety of symptoms that females just happen to experience during those conditions

I've intended to give it a try for several years,,
and have no reason why I haven't,,,
except that maybe the noise is satisfactorily under control for me most of the time.

I take all the other stuff anyway for other reasons,,and my ears stay "good enough" to be bearable

It's fairly cheap,,
You may wanna read up on Black Cohosh for TINNITUS,,and see what ya think.

Zinc & Potassium I am CERTAIN it helps ME a bunch with the prob.
C & B complex,,I beleive it helps me a good bit

Good Luck,,hope you get some releif

A severe pitched ringing interior the ear could nicely be tinnatus - a topic of the indoors ear, could be nicely worth on an analogous time as having your ears checked - yet another threat could be which you're imagining it as you dont like silence?? Scientifically, sounds are reverberations or echoes, perhaps there is something on your room that makes a small noise yet you may basically hear it while there are not the different noises drowning it out.

Tinnitus is a symptom of hearing loss and unfortunately can't be completely cured. There are medications that help to lessen the sound. You can drown it out by playing music or having some form of white noise in the background. I have tinnitus almost constantly but I learned to "tune it out" most of the time.

Unfortunately, there's no real cure (you're hearing is damaged). There are a few things you can try to relieve the symptoms. Try taking Sudafed (not the PE but the original). Do not take aspirin. Mask the ringing with white noise (a fan, radio, television). Also, make an appointment to see your doctor.

I haven't found anything that makes it go away. I cut out caffeine, asprin, I also sleep with a fan running or a tv anything that will cover the sound. It is so irritating!

nope
I don't take any aspirin because it increases the volume
I sleep with a white noise sound machine running to drown out the constant whine
