Our school had a Masquerade themed prom last year. And everyone had to wear masks, so because it's already so dramatic. You could go two different ways. Make it even more dramatic, or stay simple. If you want to make an dramatic entrance you can wear a dress with all the jazzy sparkly stuff and poof. But I would stick to something simple and classic, cause the mask is so dramatic already. Our school had made masks for the seniors/juniors already. But if you need to make/get one. You could check old costume shops or find them online. Or you could make one -if you have the time to. And if youre going with a guy. You guys can wear matching masks/ties. That way you can design it and make it pretty. You could match by color or by style/design. Our masks for our prom were all really elegant and designed by the honors art society. Hoped i helped!

I would make sure to wear a nice ball gown. If it is a current-standards masquerade, then wear a ball gown up to current fashions, such as those expected to be worn amongst the courtiers of England. If not, and you are supposed to wear something from the Renaissance period, I would go with a more Victorian or Elizabethan style.

At a masquerade, you should wear a gown. It should look royal and formal. You want to look like a princess and make sure the mask match.
Your fiance should wear a tux with a mask- i recommend black and white.
HAVE FUN!
