No, No, NO!!! Alcohol is bad, bad, bad!!! Most likely your break outs are hormonal if they only happen occassionally. ProActive works great and Avon makes Clearskin which is fabulous too. When you use alcohol you strip your skin of the acid mantle which is necessary for healthy skin and to prevent infection. Oily skin has oil too little moisture and Dry skin has moisture but too little oil. Normal skin has a balance of sebum and moisture. When you have a breakout the balance has been disrupted. Get a good skin care product like the ones I mentioned, for example, and aim for maintaining the balance. You will prevent damage and have healthier skin. good luck.

yes, it does, but you also could use an astringent from mary kay or biore. another option would be purchase a Tao He Chinese Herbal Cleanse. It's a ten day process and you have to stay off of heavily sugared foods, red meat, and fried foods. It not only cleanses you, but it replaces those nutrients mentioned before. You won't feel the the need to rush to the bathroom, you will feel you need to go. By about day four, (this is gross), but you will start seeing what was stuck to the lining of your intestines. After you finish you will have more energy, clear skin, and anything you take orally will work 10x faster because it doesn't have to work thru that junk. Also, surround yourself with foods you CAN have so you don't get tempted.

No, you have some good answers already. I just wanted to add that if you need instant relief from from itchy skin or " hot " skin, get some witchhazel. It's cheaper and won't damage the skin. Be careful so that you don't get it near your eyes. Follow up with a very light moisturizer. Good luck in your decision.

rubbing alcohol is not a good thing for your skin true it removes oil from your skin but it also removes the natural oils that protect it from enviromental damage. get some serious skin care products alcohol -free i sell mary kay and would only tell you to clean your face daily and nightly and use the right moisturizer
for you and watch your skin improve

No it will just make your face red, dried out, and your skin will start to peel off. Try Mary Kay Acne Treatment Gel under $10 but it works miracles. This stuff is better than Benzaclin. Click the link below.

After you PoP it... put a little dab of alcohol on the area. It will dry it up.. and it shouldn't be that red the next day. I wouldn't say rub it all over your face though.

I couldnt agree more with the above mentioned....avoid the alcohol...its brutal...if your looking for a great moisturizer that delicately battles bacteria build up (that causes zits) use a Co Enzyme Fermented product like Mere de la Mer...Its primarily designed for rich people to slather all over themselves by the gallon to stay young...but it comes in more affordable (129.00) sizes too :) And it helps a lot....kiss the acne goodbye

Use a toner with moisturizer in it. Alcohol will dry your skin out.

I would reccomend to stop using it. It dries out your skin a lot, which is good for a while, but then your skin starts to make a LOT of oil, to make up for the oil that is lost. This will produce in you getting worse skin.

Alcohol is very bad for your skin...it will leave you peeling off for days. Try using the over the counter product( by ZAPZYT). It works the best. Its cheap and i think the best in market. Proactiv DOES NOT work..
