we got along great and i havent heard from him since he moved.

i think you have answered your own question ---- if he has not contacted you he does consider your relationship sufficiently important to keep in touch --- im sorry

Contact him and see what is happening with him. If you still don't hear anything, then you will know that that is the end of your relationship.
